EPC Project of Sinoma EC – “Carbon Pot Calciner WHR Project” Through Technological Achievement Identification, reach the advanced international level of aluminum prebaked anode industry.

Recently, CARCU held a scientific and technological achievement approval meeting on “Carbon Pot Calciner WHR Project (4.5MW).

In the meeting, through listening the report, review the documents, ask for an explanation and discussion, all the participating experts thought that the 150 thousand tons prebaked anode pot calciner WHR project of Sunstone Development Co., Ltd. enhanced the overall efficiency of resources of carbon production line. After putting into operation of the project, average annual power generation is 35 million kWh which occupies 90% of power consumption by whole plant and saves 11,600 tons/y standard coal and reduces 32,000 tons/y carbon dioxide emissions. This project has reasonable process flow, proven technique, good environment efficiency, obvious economic benefits and the overall technology which reaches the advanced international level in the aluminum prebaked anode industry.

Sinoma Energy Conservation Ltd. signed the EPC contract with Sunstone Development Co., Ltd. in January 2010. The project was put into trial operation in September 2010. Now, the unit equipment operates stably and each breakthrough technology gains favorable results.
